Diarmuid Flood – Director & Barrister
Diarmuid was called to the Bar in 1989 having qualified in the Joint Degrees in English and French Laws (King’s London and Sorbonne Paris).
He completed pupillage in London and worked for a short period as an in-house legal adviser in the Department of Trade and Industry and in the private sector.
Diarmuid has practised in the North West since 1994 and has enormous experience in civil litigation. He initially represented local authorities in Merseyside defending housing disrepair claim and private hire licence appeals. He also has experience defending Highways Act claims and latterly has undertaken claims on behalf of clients seeking compensation from local authorities under the Highways Act.
He formed DBF Law Limited (trading as 2D Law) in 2016 having left Chambers in Liverpool, wishing to develop a more flexible and business like approach to the provision of legal services. 2D Law has been authorised as an entity by the Bar Standards Board and Diarmuid has sought to develop its work with particular emphasis on direct public access.
Under the banner of 2D Law, Diarmuid has been able to attract a broad range of civil litigation, such as TOLATA claims, injunctions relating to the agricultural use of land, professional negligence, claims under the Equality Act 2010.
He encourages members of the public to approach him under the Direct Public Access scheme.

Jon Gidney – Marketing Manager
Jon brings great expertise as 2DLaw’s Marketing Manager. His career started as a Pro Golfer where he competed in tournaments around the world working with Marketing Agencies, Sports Management Company’s and a variety of brands and businesses.
Jon then became a Director of a Sports Branding & Management company and started working successfully as a Marketing Consultant. Jon currently works as the Marketing Manager at The Shrewsbury Club, a Premier Health and Racket’s Club and for us here at 2D Law.

David Daniels – Associate Barrister
Following a successful career in investments and pensions he qualified for the Bar. The motivating factor was the opportunity to assist clients solve their legal problems. In his limited spare time, he is a voracious reader of biographies and develops his interests in fine wines and equine pursuits.
David provides advocacy and drafting in all areas of civil and family law. He covers the whole spectrum of Family Law, including Ancillary Relief and Care Proceedings (both for individuals and local authorities).
